A website with the URL https://www.kurdishscholar.com/ has been circulating recently and inviting Kurdish scholars and academics to join them. They have also approached a number of people for financial help presenting them with a PayPal account. Please be aware that this website does not have any relationship with us. It appears that people behind this initiative have good intentions and we admire their efforts to advance Kurdish scientific endeavours. At the same time, it is unfortunate that they have selected a similar name, i.e. Kurdish Scholar, for their organization, which is very similar to ours, i.e. Kurdish Scholars. Please keep in mind that many of you started registering with us, Kurdish Scholars, in April 2018. We publicized our website at the time through social media and our personal academic networks. This has helped us to reach a great number of well-established scientists and scholars such as you around the world. We understand that this similarity in the name has created some confusion. Currently, we are in negotiations with the developers of the other website and are hoping to arrive at a reasonable solution.
